Organist, pianist, conductor, teacher, composer, and ukulele enthusiast; Wyatt poe is a graduate of Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music in Columbus, Georgia where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Organ Performance under Joseph Golden. While at CSU he was featured in performances with the Schwob Wind Orchestra and Schwob Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Jamie Nix, and has enjoyed the privilege of returning to his alma mater for collaborations with this group in 2023. Additionally, he performed in a masterclass with Dr. Joel Bacon, performed in a number of Columbus AGO events, and played recitals at Trinity Episcopal Church Columbus and Legacy Hall at the River Center for the Performing Arts. Along with his organ studies, Poe sang tenor in Schwob Singers under the direction of Dr. Ianthe Marini, studied collaborative arts and harpsichord with Joseph Golden, and piano with Sam Brown.
While in college, Poe held the position of Music Director at Saint Nicholas Episcopal Church in Hamilton, Georgia from 2016-2020. In 2020 he began working as Music Intern at Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus, GA. Wyatt was also on staff with Callaway Gardens Resort and Spa as an organist from 2017 to 2020.
In 2021 Poe was awarded First Prize in the Charleston International Music Competition's Contemporary Music Compeition and Second Prize in the Romantic Music Competition. In 2022 he continued his career in Tallahassee, Florida as an accompanist for Florida State University vocalists, Organist-Choirmaster at Saint John's Episcopal Church (Bainbridge, GA), Music Instructor with Making Light Productions Inc., and freelance performer.
