Wyatt Preston Poe is an organist, conductor, and composer whose work centers on the Anglican musical and liturgical tradition. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University and a Master of Arts in Theology, with a concentration in Liturgy and Church Music from the School of Theology at The University of the South. Poe's thesis focuses on compositional elements of 20th and 21st century American hymnody.
In 2021, Wyatt was awarded first prize in the Contemporary category and second prize in the Romantic category of the Charleston International Music Competition. In 2025, some of his compositional work was published with St. James Music Press. He currently serves as Organist and Choir Director at The Episcopal Parish of St. Mark & St. Paul in Sewanee, Tennessee, and as Assistant Director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He also directs two children’s choirs and is deeply committed to the formation of young musicians within the life of the Church.
